Google Maps rank tracking

Your Google Maps rank isn't one number. It's a map.

Someone two streets away and someone across town see different results for the same search. Local Rank Tracker searches Google Maps from every point of a grid around your business and shows where you rank at each one — and who is #1 where you are not.

20 credits a month per tracked keyword. A new account gets 100 credits once — enough for 5 keywords for their first month. No card required to start.

How it works

  1. Find your business

Search by name and city, and pick your Google listing.

  2. Name the search

The words customers type — "emergency plumber", "coffee shop". Leave out "near me": every point on the grid already searches as someone standing there.

  3. Read the grid

Each square is your position at that spot: green in the top 3 (the map pack), amber from 4 to 10, red past 10 or outside the top 20. Every 7 days you get a fresh one.

What each grid tells you

  • Where you win and where you vanish

Your rank at every point, your average where you appear, and the share of the grid where you are in the top 3.

  • Who beats you, point by point

Point at any square to see the business at #1 there, so you can tell which competitor owns which part of town.

  • Sized to your service area

    Grids of 3×3, 5×5, 7×7 points, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10 miles out from your listing — a café's few blocks or a plumber's whole metro.

  • Honest when a scan falls short

If a weekly scan cannot measure enough of the grid, it says so and tries again within a day. You keep seeing the last good grid, labelled with its date — never a gap that looks like a ranking.

A local rank checker that runs itself

You may know this as a geo grid rank tracker, or as a Google map ranking checker you run by hand. The difference is that nobody has to remember to run it: the grid refreshes every week on its own, and the last good one stays on screen.
